Update

So I realize I haven't posted in a long time. Zoey is now 9 months old. I missed a lot of time there. I want to go back and fill in some blanks, but I feel that would not be so helpful. So I will just start from here and move forward.

Being a mom is still wonderful. And being a stay-at-home mom is still a lot of work. But it is all worth it when Zoey smiles or hugs me.

Zoey is now 9 months old. At her 9 month checkup she weighted 18lbs 6oz and was 28" long. She can crawl all around the house and pull up on anything and everything. She has tried to stand up on her own a few times, but so far has only lasted a couple seconds. She is eating everything Stephen or I eat and loves new foods. She consistently takes two naps and day and sleeps through the night. She can say a few words like mama, dada and baba, but she has a lot of noises and gestures that are definite communication. She is pointing now, which I think is the cutest thing. She will point at something and make a "what?" sound; she is already so curious about everything around her. She is starting to really pay attention to cartoons and toys now. She loves Mickey and like Tigger, Pooh and Veggie Tales (among other things). She will hold onto a toy and crawl around the house with it. She has a Granny blankey and a Tigger stuffed animal that she sleeps with. She is getting to be such a big girl.

We have done many activities this spring. We went to a baseball game to see the Charleston Riverdogs. We picked strawberries...Zoey loves strawberries. Zoey and I spent a week with my parents (Granny and Pops). We went to the beach and Fort Moultrie. We spent some time downtown Charleston. For Easter we went Atlanta to visit David. While there we visited the Georgia Aquarium...Zoey loved the fish. We have also had many fun outings with Cherie, Brad, Rhylee and Braeden as well as Michelle. We watch Daddy play football and visit Jaclyn, Jessica, Melissa and a puppy too! Zoey loves animals including our two cats Laz and Creampuff. Spring has been fun and I can't wait for an adventurous summer!
