This Labor Day held the last night of our minor league baseball team the Charleston Riverdog's last game of the season. The game was slow, there was only one run in the entire game that happened in the bottom of the 9th allowing us to win - Go Riverdogs! But the night was fun! Zoey loves just watching baseball, but she also got a purple ladybug balloon animal that she wanted and to see Charlie the Riverdog mascot. And to top the night off there were fireworks. We all had such a great time!

I have never really been able to follow baseball. I think I need constant action. I certainly would have enjoyed the mascot and fireworks. Glad your team won.

Thanks. Honestly, I don't often keep up with the game when we go. We are too busy talking with friends, getting balloons and having adventures.
DeleteLooks like fun, and at least you won. I never really was into the sport, just the atmosphere, so high of low scores were always the same to me.

I do enjoy the sports sometimes, especially if it is a really good game. But most of the time, we just enjoy the atmosphere. There is really a lot to do!
DeleteGreat shots! looks like a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It was!
DeleteToo cute! I love seeing how small Kiddies look next to mascots :D
ReplyDeleteI know! I used to be scared of them when I was a kid. Zoey, on the other hand, goes up to Charlie the Riverdog and stomps on his foot, sigh. Then he gave her a high five, I think he forgave her!

ReplyDeleteOh who wanted want to meet a giant doggy??? Looked like great fun! xx
He's a lot of fun, we try to find him everytime we go, Riverdogs games aren't complete with out Charlie :)
DeleteWe were planning to go to the game too, but our oldest got a stomach bug so we hung out at home... looks like you guys had a blast!
ReplyDeleteOh I hope they feel better! It was really boring actually, the highlights were the balloon animals and Charlie. And then not ten minutes after the fireworks ended it was pouring down rain, we got soaked going back to our car!
DeleteCute photos heheh!
ReplyDeleteHave a tanfasstic week ;-)
I think that is a perfect way to spend labor day. With a little baseball and fireworks. It really is the American way :)
ReplyDeleteI had that thought, that it was very American. It was actually the first big fireworks we saw this year since July 4th got rained out, so it was a good was to end the summer.
DeleteGreat photos, thanks for hosting. My link is now finally up.
ReplyDeleteIt seems it was a great day!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting.

Your Welcome! Happy Wednesday!
DeleteThat is one tall mascot!
ReplyDeleteHe is! And big around too! I don't know how he gets around, it can't be easy.
DeleteThat is great... spend labor day with the family and fireworks... Wow!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely way to spend Labour day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to spend the day!
ReplyDeleteI love baseball games, but unfortunately, we only made it to one this summer.

This summer went by fast! We usually go to a bunch, this year I think we only went twice.
DeleteAre those box seats? What a fun way to enjoy the game.
ReplyDeleteYes, my husband's work rents out a box and divides the games between all of the employees. It is a great way to watch because Zoey can run around and not be stuck in the seats the whole game. We often go anyway and just buy general admission tickets, but it's fun when we get to go sit up in the box.
DeleteAfter dark: fireworks. I love them. I wish I could see them all summer long!
ReplyDeleteI do love fireworks. It was a great way to end the summer.
DeleteBaseball and fireworks on a Labor Day weekend are very American. It makes me thankful to live in the good ole USA. Happy WW!
ReplyDeleteDiamonds are Forever
I agree! I'm proud to be an American! It was great fun and a great way to close the summer season.
DeleteSuch fun shots it is always great to capture their actions when they are young
ReplyDeleteI am not a huge fan of baseball, but it sounds like a great time. My girls love going to the Kids' Day Bills Game because we get to see fireworks afterwards. Lots of fun.
