An Eternal Relationship - 1 John 4:15

1 John 4:15 -- "If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God."

Knowing Christ is not just obeying a set of laws or asking God for forgiveness - it is so much more than that. Knowing Christ means to enter into a relationship - a beautiful eternal relationship.

When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, it is not a one time transaction, nor is it a one-way interaction. When Jesus extends salvation to you, you invite Him into your heart. Not only does Christ live inside you, but you enter into God's Kingdom.

The relationship we enter into with God is a two-way road. God want to change our hearts from the inside-out. He wants to know every detail about us and to guard and guide us one our journey. However, He also wants us to know Him and reach out to Him. He wants us to faithfully join in His perfect plan for us. God lives in us and us in Him - we work together in an eternal relationship for the good of all.
