Ezekiel (Bible in 90 Days)

Ezekiel was another great man of God. He preached God’s judgment and salvation his entire life. But even more than that, he lived what he preached.

Many of Ezekiel’s messages were dramatic object lessons that God called him to illustrate: lying on his side for 360 days and only eating one 8 ounce meal a day that was cooked over manure, shaving his head and beard and showing no sorrow when his wife died. These are extreme ideas, but Ezekiel obeyed God’s instructions.

Ezekiel also preached of God’s judgment on the country’s indifference and idoltry. He prophecized the fall of Jerusalem like many other prophets of the time.

Ezekiel does not end in despair. He tells of God’s faithfulness to his people and the future blessings to those who believe. Ezekiel challenges God’s people to not remain idol, but to repent and turn back to God and His limitless love and salvation.

“Then they will follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. They will be my people, and I will be their God.” Ezekiel 11:20
