Jesus Saves - John 3:17

John 3:17 -- "God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him."

God does pass judgment on the world, but that was not the purpose of Jesus' mission. Jesus came to save the world. The people were lost and in need of a Savior. The people were expecting a warrior, someone to come in and save God's people through battle. Little did they know they were in for a lot more than only a victor. They would experience victory but also redemption. God knew that His people needed more than simply a win on the battlefield, they needed salvation. Jesus coming into the world as a baby, growing in His ministry, and dying on the cross for the sins of all people is the proof of God's love for His people. He saves us because He loves us.
