The star of Bethlehem is a great sign of hope. Everyone who was anywhere near the small town would have seen it and knew that something important was happening. The star drew in shepherds and wise men from the east. I imagine there were a lot of other people coming toward the star and asking questions leading them to the Savior. Sometimes that is all we need, a beacon, to lead us in the right direction. God is that beacon, Jesus Christ leads us and protects us through His light.
John 8:12 -- "When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
When they saw the star, they rejoiced with great joy. That star is Jesus Christ and we can rejoice in great joy because He is always near to us wherever we go.
The Adventures of Scout the Elf
Today Scout had a tea party, relaxing in the refrigerator of Zoey's pretend kitchen. |
