Remember Me in the Light of Your Love

Psalms 25:7 -- "Do not remember the rebellious sins of my youth. Remember me in the light of your unfailing love, for you are merciful, O Lord."

You're past, good or bad, is important because it makes you who you are today. However, You don't have to stay in that place. God forgives your sins completely when you repent. And He constantly challenges you to grow and walk closer with Him.

We all have a past and we were all young. A rebellious stage is common, perhaps even inevitable for teenagers, though it can happen at any stage in life. Some get into a lot of trouble and have a rough start to life in this world. Others stay pretty much on path with little to no hiccups along the way. And there is every stage in between. When you find yourself troubled or in trouble, God is always there waiting for you to call on Him and repent so He can guide you out. Even when you are walking the narrow road, you must keep your eyes on God so you do not get lost or in trouble.

It is through God's unfailing love and mercy that we may be forgiven. No matter what happened in your past, repenting to God will allow Him to remember you, not by sins, but by your faith.

Dear Lord,
I pray the prayer of Psalms 25:7 -- Do not remember the rebellious sins of my youth. Remember me in the light of your unfailing love, for you are merciful, O Lord.
