Higher Than the Heavens

Psalms 113:4 --"For the Lord is high above the nations; his glory is higher than the heavens."

We talk about God being our Creator, but do we really stop to think about what that means?

Our world is full of rulers: presidents, kings, generals and CEOs. But, all of those people are limited. They are limited in the space because they can only lead over their part, what is in their jurisdiction. And they are limited by time, forced into the here and now, unaware of what is going on around them -- at least in entirety.

God is the King of Kings. He rules over all the leaders in this world because he is outside this world. God's jurisdiction doesn't stop at a nation's border. It doesn't stop at earth's border. God is not only Lord above the nations, but also the heavens. That includes the sun, moon, stars and far beyond what ever the greatest dreamers and scientists can image.

God created the heavens and the earth and he is not bound by space or time, he rules over all. With this greatness in perspective, is there anything God can't handle? The answer is no. God can do all things. He can protect and guide you though all things great and small.

I think that is the most amazing thing about God -- He is ruler over heavens and earth and he still wants to get to know me personally, to talk with me every moment of every day. He wants the same for you. All you have to do is reach out to him and have faith that the ruler of all the earth and all the heavens will guard and guide you down the right path. He sill if you trust him to do so.
