Everyone has a past. Some have a harder past to overcome than others. However, nothing is too hard for God.

The psalmist states that each generation should set its hope anew on God. That means that we can not rely on the things of this life. Even the best of parents, friends and family will fail at some point. However, by putting our faith in God we can stand on solid ground knowing He will guard and guide us.

God works miracles everyday. When we open our eyes, we can see those glorious miracles. Has something ever been to coincidence to be anything other than God? It happens to me all the time.

We can't put the blame for our hard times on others. No matter what the circumstance is, the conclusion should not be to point fingers even if it is a situation out of your control. The response should be to turn to God, ask him to guard and guide you. Then, it is more important what you do next that what happened previously.

We can learn and grow from struggles, but we should not get lost in them. Keep your eyes on God and keep moving forward. Your character is not determined by what good or bad happens to you, but by how you respond to each situation. Set your hope anew on God, he will not lead you astray.
