Rise and Fall of Nations - Acts 17:26

Acts 17:26 -- "From one man he created all the nations throughout the whole earth. He decided beforehand when they should rise and fall, and he determined their boundaries."

It seems like there is always war waging somewhere. In many instances, those wars are fought over land, resources or power. This is because whoever has the land controls the resources and thus holds the power.

We live in a power hungry world. It seems in the world there is always a struggle to obtain power and then maintain it, on a large and small scale. This is NOT God's way. This is how Satan rules the world. This is how selfishness and pride get in the way of God's desire for all to love each other and better each other.

God created all the nations from Abraham, a man God chose who was called righteous because of his faith.

Genesis 15:56 -- "And Abram believed the Lord, and the Lord counted him as righteous because of his faith."

The wars of the world can seem scary and sometimes unpredictable. However, there is hope! God knows when all the nations and people he created will rise and fall and how far they are able to go. Satan's ways are chaos and war, but God's way is love and peace.

The Lord created the whole world and he promises to care for his people. Have faith he will do as he says, just like he has since the beginning of creation.
