"In the beginning God..." (Genesis 1:1)
We came from God. In the end, it is to God that we are trying to go. The best we can do on Earth is to be a little bit better than we were yesterday. We can learn how Jesus lived and share what He taught, to love God and love each other. We can tell others how God saved us through Jesus so we could spend eternity with Him.
...God created the heavens and the earth." (Genesis 1:1)
Everything we have, everything we know, our own being is is from God. You can trust Him with your troubles because He made you and He understands what you are going through. He wants a better you, just like you do.
It is important to know where you come from because it gives you confidence about where you are going. When you walk in faith, trusting that God will not lead you astray, then you can change your life and sow seeds of joy and light into a dark, cynical world.
Dear Lord,
Thank you for creating me, a unique individual who can shape this world for the better. I came from you and one day I will return to spend eternity with you. Oh what a glorious day that will be.
