Beginnings, Day 2: Seek Wisdom and Understanding

Psalm 111:10 -- "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise."

Psalm 111:1 shows us the beginning of wisdom. Wisdom is knowing the right way to go and going that way. It is through wisdom that we can have a strong relationship with God. By fearing Him and learning more about Him through His word, we can know the right way to go.

All who follow His guidance and obey His commands gain understanding. This is accomplished by spending time in God's Word and communicating with Him through prayer. The more we seek him the more we understand. Then it is our choice to make wise decisions that will bring us even closer to Him.

This is the beginning of a beautiful relationship with the Lord.

Dear Lord,
I sing out eternal praises to You! Thank you for wanting a relationship with me. Help me begin to understand you better and gain wisdom through Your Word as I continuously seek you out.
