Malachi (Bible in 90 Days)

Malachi’s message is of God’s perfect and complete love. He spends much time and detail on the sins of the Jews. However, we have to confront our sins with God before we can restore that most important relationship with Him.

That is the point—despite all the awful things the Jews have done while turning their backs on God, He is still waiting with open arms to heal a repented heart instead of casting judgment. All hope is not lost. God wants to shower blessings and lessons on those who love him.

“But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings. And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture.” Malachi 4:2

Malachi continues to bridge the gap between the old and new testaments. These Minor Prophets begin opening up a new way of thinking and foretells of John the Baptist as well as Jesus. “Look, I am sending you the prophet Elijah before the great and dreadful day of the Lord arrives.” Malachi 4:5
