A Wife of Noble Character: Blessed and Praised

Proverbs 31:28 -- "Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her."

Our character shows, not only from our own actions, but also from other's respect for and trust in us. When we conduct ourselves in a Godly manner and live as a woman of noble character then our children, our family and our community will respect us.

1 Timothy 5:10 -- "She must be well respected by everyone because of the good she has done. Has she brought up her children well? Has she been kind to strangers and served other believers humbly? Has she helped those who are in trouble? Has she always been ready to do good?"

A wife of noble character keeps her focus on God. He is the strength that powers her and the guide to do the best she can for her family and her community. The wife of noble character raised children to bless her and earned a husband to praise her. These are high commendations.

I believe this verse is the reward for all the hard work, courage and sacrifice that we have connected to the wife of noble character so far. The point: it is all worth it!

Galatians 6:9 -- "So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up."

This reward, the blessing that God grants us, is not give to make us happy or content. It is meant to be shared to advance His Kingdom, which is made of your children, your husband and your community. A woman of noble character doesn't stop at praise. The results are worth the work because everyone benefits and the glory goes to God. Finding joy and peace comes with the relationship with Christ through the journey, not the destination, not the result.

A wife of noble character accepts the blessings from her children and the praise of her husband and gives all glory to God because He is the reason it is all worthwhile, the reason it is all possible.
