By His Wounds

Isaiah 53:5 -- "But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed"

Music is a huge part of my life and one of my most reassured forms of worship. "By His Wounds" by Third Day is one of my favorite songs to worship our Almighty God.

It is good to know that the music we worship with is indeed based on Godly principles. Many of the lyrics in "By His Wounds" comes straight from the Bible (Isaiah 53:5).

These words contain a message of sacrifice, redemption, peace and hope. God sent His son to be the perfect sacrifice so He could save all of us from our sins. Jesus was whipped, beaten, pierced and died because of our sins. His sacrifice made us whole and continue to give us an opportunity to be healed through Him.

It is through Jesus, by His wounds, that we are able to be close to God. Through our faith in Jesus, our sins are covered that we may be healed here on earth and in God's presence throughout eternity.
