By Faith We Have Peace

Romans 5:1 -- “Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.”

Peace. Isn't that really what we are looking for in life? We want calm, we want harmony, we want to feel like we belong.

Jesus Christ has provided the ultimate peace. Because of what he has done his, his pure sacrifice, we are cleansed of our sins and have been made right in God’s sight. By faith we are justified, we can have relationship with God without sin blocking our way.

We have peace with God.

Because of the relationship we have with God, thanks to Jesus Christ, we may have true peace. This goes beyond feelings of calm or tranquility that are fleeting -- this is the knowledge that we are right in God’s sight and he will be with us through every situations, he is in control of all circumstances and he will make incredible things happen in our life.

Our ultimate peace is the truth that we belong to God.

Dear Lord,
Thank you for sending your son to die on the cross for our sins so that we can have a true relationship with you. Help me to revel in peace with you and know that I belong to you.
